DE: Guten Morgen ihr Lieben! Ich hoffe es geht euch gut und dass euch die Hitze nicht schlaflose Nächte einbringt. Wir haben seit April jeden Abend den Ventilator laufen, unser Kater Henry legt sich dann auf die Bettkante, damit er angeblasen wird, armes Ding!!! Kommen wir zum eigentlichem!!!! Meinem neuem Lieblings Shirt, das ULTIMATE SHIRT von Sew Over It. Ich durfte vorab den neuen Online Kurs von Sew Over It testen und Mädels (und natürlich Herren!) das ist mal ein ordentlicher Kurs.

We’ve had the fan running since April and even our cat Henry comes to lie on the bed at night, so that he can catch some cool air, the poor thing! Right, let’s get down to Business! My new favourite shirt the ULTIMATE SHIRT by Sew Over It! I was lucky enough to get to test their new online class, before it was released and ladies (and gentlemen!) this is the kind of course I’ve wanted to take since forever.
DE: Solltet ihr euch bisher ein wenig vorm nähen einer Bluse oder eines Hemdes gefürchtet haben nimmt euch SOI und Lisa an die Hand und führt euch durch jeden Schritt um an ein perfektes Kleidungsstück zu kommen. Es gibt Anleitungen um den Schnitt anzupassen, damit die perfekte Passform erreicht werden kann (zum Beispiel an den Schultern, FBA, SBA, Hohlkreuz etc) Ich habe mir vor etlichen Jahren das Nähen selbst beigebracht und habe in diesem Kurs tatsächlich noch etwas dazu gelernt. Meine Kragen sahen noch nie so gut aus!!
EN: If you’ve been intimidated by sewing up a shirt so far, don’t look any further than this course. Lisa holds your hand and teaches you every step you’ll need to make up the perfect shirt. The course also supplies you with tutorials on how to get the right fit, from how to make swayback adjustments, to protruding bellies, to shoulder adjustments, you name it , they have it. For those of you, who’ve made a shirt before, you might still learn useful skills. My collars have never looked this good, after using their instructions!
DE: Zusätzlich zu dem Ultimate Shirt Schnitt gibt es außerdem den Hackney Schnitt für die Herren, die auch alle gerne etwas selbstgenähtes haben möchten! Hier setzt SOI darauf, dass das Endergebnis so professionell wie möglich aussieht. Ich bin ehrlicherweise, ziemlich begeistert und meine bessere Hälfte bekommt demnächst auch ENDLICH ein selbst genähtes Hemd (LANGE HAT ER WARTEN MÜSSEN!)

DE: Und damit ihr seht wie durchgeknallt ich bin, habe ich auf 2 Wochen 3 Hemden genäht, alle Stoffe stammen aus Frankreich. Der Stoff vom Rosafarbenem und das vom blauem Hemd stammen von Pretty Mercerie und das Hemd mit dem geometrischen Druck ist von Atelier Brunette. Ich trage alle 3 Hemden besonders gerne in die Arbeit mit ein paar Jeans und ich vermute meine neue Liebe zu diesem Schnitt ist noch nicht ganz vorbei! Hahahahaha
EN: And since I’m a bit bonkers, I decided to sew up 3 shirts in 2 weeks! All three fabrics are from France, the one with the geometric print is from Atelier Brunette, that I got at their online sale last summer. The other two fabrics are from Pretty Mercerie. I really like wearing these shirts to the office with jeans and I’m pretty sure, that I’m not done making up more of these shirts!

DE: Für das Innenleben habe ich Schrägband von Joann’s verwendet. In Amerika verkaufen sie deutlich breiteres Schrägband, was wohl von Quiltern besonders beliebt ist und das hat mir die Arbeit deutlich erleichtert. Mir gefällt, wie gut der Trench von innen aussieht. Die Knöpfe stammen von Stoff und Stil, die habe ich glaube ich im Januar bestellt… ich kann mich leider nicht mehr erinnern. Die Jacke habe ich übrigens im Januar beim 
EN: For sprucing up the insides of the coat, I chose to use pre-made bias binding from Joann’s. The bias binding is quite wider than the stuff we get here in Europe, which is why it is quite popular with quilter, so I’ve been told. It definitely made applying it to the seams much easier than any of the stuff I made myself. The buttons are from Stoff and Stil, I think I ordered them at the beginning of the year, but I honestly can’t really remember. I finished the coat in January, when I was at the
