DE: Guten Morgen ihr Lieben! Zwei Posts in einer Woche?? Man merkt, das ich Zeit habe! HAHAHAHAH Heute zeige ich euch dasTeahouse Dress von Sew House Seven, das ich vor einige Wochen genäht habe.

Es gibt auf Instagram schon Millionen von Versionen von diesem Schnitt und ich weiß ehrlicherweise nicht, warum ich mir so viel Zeit damit gelassen habe und es erst jetzt genäht habe. Ich habe vor einigen Jahren von das Sweatshirt von Sew House Seven genäht, dass sehr gut gepasst hat und nähe gerade die Burnside Bibs von ihnen und werde natürlich hier auf dem Blog, in den nächsten Wochen auch dazu was schreiben.

EN: Good morning everyone!! Two posts in one week? Who am I?? HAHAHHAH Today, I wanted to show you the Sew House Seven Tea Dress that I sewed a few weeks ago. There must be a million Version of this dress on Instagram and I’m not really sure, why it took me so long to get my act together and make up this pattern, if I’m honest. I sewed up the sweatshirt from Sew House Seven a few years ago and really liked their aesthetic, which is why I am currently working on their Burnside Bibs dungarees at the moment – I will share them once I’ve finished.

DE: Den Schnitt kann man auch als Top nähen, ich überlege auch gerade ob ich ihn nicht aus weißen Leinen machen soll, für die SEHR WARMEN Tage, die uns noch bevorstehen. Ich habe das Teahouse Dress in Größe 8 ohne Änderungen genäht, habe aber den Saum um 10 cm umgeschlagen und mit der Hand festgenäht. Ich fand die Länge sah etwas unvorteilhaft an mir aus. Ich trage meistens flache Schuhe und da wäre das einfach nichts gewesen. Ich hab als Stoff, diesen „Burnt Orange“ Leinen verwendet. Solltest du noch nie mit Leinen gearbeitet haben, ist es sehr wichtig, dass du bevor du den Stoff vorwäschst den Stoff auf sehr hoher Hitze, OHNE Dampf bügelst, damit der „Fixing Agent“ also das Mittel das dafür sorgt, dass die Farbe nicht an Stellen auswäscht, aktiviert wird. Ich empfehle es den Stoff dann entweder mit der Hand oder in der Waschmaschine zu waschen und dann entweder in den Trockner auf „Bügeltrocken“ zu trocknen und auf der Wäscheleine zu waschen, bis es noch etwas klamm ist. Dann einfach noch einmal auf sehr hoher Hitze, OHNE Dampf bügeln und VOILA, der Stoff bekommt keine komischen Streifen oder bleicht an Stellen aus!(DU musst das auch wirklich nur einmal machen und dann musst du dir keine Gedanken mehr darüber machen!)

EN: There’s also a top version, that comes with this pattern, I am really thinking about making it up in a white linen for those scorching hot days, that I know we will be dealing with, soon. I sewed up the Teahouse dress in size 8 without any alterations. I did however turn up the hem by 10 cm, as the midi length doesn’t look particularly good on me, especially as I usually wear flat shoes. I used this “Burned orange” linen to make this pattern. If you’ve never worked with linen before, it’s really important that you iron the fabric on high, WITHOUT steam before you wash it. This sets the “fixing agent” and ensured, that the color doesn’t bleed and leaves you fabric looking patchy or worse. I recommend, washing your fabric either in the machine or handwashing it and then tossing it into the dryer until it is nearly dry. If you don’t have a dryer, and hang it up until it is nearly dry and then iron the fabric on high, WITHOUT steam. TADA! You’re done and the fabric is pretreated and you’ll never have to think about it again.
