DE: Guten Morgen ihr Lieben! Ich hoffe es geht euch gut und dass ihr für die anstehende Hitzewelle gut gerüstet seid! Mein Eisfach ist voller Speiseeis und Eiswürfel für Schorlen und den Ventilator habe ich schon seit Tagen im Dauereinsatz. ALLES WIRD GUT!Ich war in den letzten Wochen ziemlich beschäftigt,unter anderem war ich auf Anlageniventur in Spanien für ein paar Tag, habe es aber geschafft ein paar Sachen für den Sommer zu nähen, Heute stelle ich euch daher das Roliz Kleid von Viki Sews vor.

 

EN: Good morning, everyone! I hope you’re all well and are ready for the heatwave that is about to hit most of Europe this week! I bought large amounts of ice cream and ice blocks in anticipation of the heat and my trusty fan has been working overtime to keep me cool! WE WILL SURVIVE THIS! I’ve been rather busy the past few week, among other things I was in Spain doing an asset inventory for a couple of days, but I did manage to get some sewing over the weekend, which brings me to today’s make.: The Roliz Dress by Viki Sews.

 

DE: Vickis Schnitte nähe ich schon seit letztem Sommer, sie sind zwar auf Russisch, was ich nicht spreche, aber anhand der Fotoanleitung und den ein gemalten Nahtzugaben auf den Schnittteilen, kann man sich schon dann wagen – im schlimmsten Fall gibt es immer noch Google Translate! Aber kommen wir zu Roliz! Der Schnitt könnte direkt aus den 80gern stammen, nicht unbedingt mein Lieblingsjahrzent, was die Mode betrifft, aber bei diesem Schnitt bin ich dann doch schwach geworden.

 

EN: I’ve been sewing Vikis’s patterns since last year and while they are in Russian, which I don’t speak, you can still follow her brilliant photo instructions and work out what needs to be done, especially as the seam allowances are marked on all the pattern pieces. And if all else fails, there’s always Google Translate! But let’s get back to Roliz! The dress is very 80s, which is not really my decade of choice, when it comes to fashion, but I really love the design of the dress.

 

DE: Mir haben die coolen Puffärmel so gut gefallen und natürlich der tolle Ausschnitt. Roliz habe ich in Größe 40 für Körpergröße 1.70-176m genäht. Ich habe den Träger, an dem der Ärmel angenäht wird um 2 cm verkürzt. Das zusätzlich Volumen im Ärmel habe ich einfach mit eingerafft und es fällt überhaupt nicht auf. Auch habe ich den Rock um 2 Zoll verlängert, weil das Kleid sonst viel zu kurz geworden wäre.

 

EN: I really liked the puff sleeves and the awesome sweetheart neckline. I sewed Roliz in a size 40, for a height of 1,70-1,76m. I shortened the traps by 2 cm and just gathered the excess volume in the sleeve, I don’t think you can even notice it! I also lengthened the skirt by 2 Inches as it would have been way to short for me.

 

DE: Ich habe diesen tollen Baumwollstoff von Selvedge & Bolts verwendet, der ist wirklich traumhaft gut zum Vernähen und fühlt sich sehr edel an! Die Glasknöpfe sind vintage und stammen aus meinem Lager. Der Schnitt ist sehr einfach zu nähen, der Ärmel passen perfekt ins Armloch, was ich bisher nur selten erlebt habe. An dieser Stelle sollte ich erwähnen das bei Viki letzte Woche Ausverkauf auf ihre eh schon günstigen Schnitte, war (150 Rubel =2,50€!!!!) Ich habe ziemlich zugeschlagen…hust…hust..10 neue Schnitte…hust..hust…und habe schon 2 andere Schnitte fertig gestellt! JA, ICH BIN EIN STREBER! Ihr werdet also in den nächsten Wochen noch andere Schnitte von Viki Sews auf meinem Blog finden. Ich wünsche euch allen eine tolle Woche und wir sprechen uns bald! EN: I bought this amazing Italian Cotton from Selvedge & Bolts, which is a dream to work with and feels super lush when you stroke it! The glass buttons are vintage and I dug them out of my stash. The pattern itself was very easy to make up, the sleeves fit perfectly into the armhole, which I haven’t encountered in quite a while. I should probably mention that Vikis had a sale on last week, on all her patterns and online courses, her patterns are very cheap to begin with (150 rubles=2,50€). I might have gone a bit crazy and cough…cough…bout 10 patterns ….cough …..cough…to be fair I’ve already made up two other ones already! I AM SUCH A NERD!!!! I will be writing a few posts about them in the coming weeks. Anyway, have an excellent rest of the week and we’ll talk soon!
